What Makes a Good Patch File

A patch is stitched as a standalone piece, so the file has to hold the fabric together on its own. Patch files are planned differently from a logo on a shirt:

• Full background fill. The whole patch area is covered, so no base fabric shows through.
• A strong border. A wide satin edge is stitched last to lock the shape and give a clean cut line.
• Balanced density. Enough stitches to look solid, not so many that the patch turns stiff or puckers.
• Readable small text. Lettering is sized and spaced so it stays legible on a 2 to 4 inch patch.

1. Send your artwork. Upload a JPG, PNG, PDF, AI or a clear photo, with the size you need.
2. We digitize it for the job. Your design is built with background fill, border and density planned for a cut-out patch.
3. Get your files. Most orders are delivered within 24 hours in DST, PES, JEF, EXP, VP3, XXX or any format you need.
4. Free revisions. Run a test stitch-out. If anything needs adjusting, we edit it for free.
